Over the past few days several IceHogs players and staff, past and present, took part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to help raise awareness for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease. The challenge requirements are simple – record a video of a bucket of icy water being dumped on the participant, share on social media, and challenge others to join in the fun. If those challenged don’t accept the offer within 24 hours, they’re asked to make a donation to ALS research or a charity of their choice.
Mark McNeill answered his challenge and nominated Garret Ross.
IceHogs Head Coach Ted Dent took on the challenge as he was nominated by Rockford Aviators President Brian Wickline, then called upon Assistant Coach Mark Osiecki, Blackhawks General Manager of Minor League Affiliations Mark Bernard, and Blackhawks Skating Coach Kevin Delaney.
