Each season around the holidays, the IceHogs host the Teddy Bear Toss. Fans are invited to being new stuffed animals to the select game and after the IceHogs score their first goal, fans toss the stuffed animals onto the ice.
The Rockford IceHogs Reading Program is designed to encourage students grades K-6 to read in and out of the classroom.
The IceHogs are teamed up with the Rockford Park District to form the Jr. IceHogs Youth Hockey Program with the goal of the teaching young players how to work together.
