Youth Hockey Initiatives
Junior IceHogs
In 2003 the IceHogs partnered with the Rockford Park District to form the Junior IceHogs Youth Hockey Program. The goal of the program is to increase participation in youth hockey in the greater Rockford area. IceHogs players and coaches make visits to Junior IceHogs practices to help teach the players fundamentals and how to have fun playing hockey. The Junior IceHogs even get the opportunity to play during intermission at IceHogs games and have players recognized on the ice at games.

Get Out And Learn (G.O.A.L.) with the Chicago Blackhawks
G.O.A.L. introduces hockey at the grassroots level to kids who may not otherwise have the opportunity to try hockey. The program brings hockey to schools, community centers and other places where kids can play in safe, structured environments.
