IceHogs to Honor Frontline Workers This Weekend During Pregame Warm Ups
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a group on individuals whose efforts have gone above and beyond to protect the Stateline community and putting the needs of others first: Rockford’s healthcare heroes and frontline workers.
During pregame warm ups tonight, each IceHogs player will wear the name of a healthcare hero or frontline worker in the Rockford community on their jersey nameplate. As an additional thank you from the IceHogs, those heroes will receive that jersey directly from the team. More details will be coming soon.
McLaughlin is One Hot Hog
Forward Dylan McLaughlin registered an assist last night in the IceHogs’ 5-3 setback to the Wild and enters tonight on a three-game point streak with two goals and three assists for five points.
Too Close to Call
Of the 15 games the IceHogs have played this season, eight have been decided by one goal with the IceHogs holding a 5-2-1-0 record in one-goal games.
Wild’s Top Line Carries Club to Win Last Night
Forwards Gerry Mayhew, Gabriel Dumont and Tyler Sheehy combined for eight points (four goals, four assists) last night in the Wild’s 5-3 win over the IceHogs. Mayhew led the way with two goals and an assist followed by Dumont’s tally and two assists.
Blackhawks Handful Jump Right In
Yesterday morning, defensemen Nicolas Beaudin, Wyatt Kalynuk, Lucas Carlsson, Madison Bowey and forward Reese Johnson were assigned to the IceHogs from the Chicago Blackhawks and played that night against the Wild. Bowey made his IceHogs debut and Beaudin picked up his seventh assist and point in his fifth game with the club.
