Defenseman Cody Franson leads the IceHogs and is tied for third among AHL defensemen with 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) and is tied for fourth among league blueliners with seven power-play points and tied for third with six power-play assists.

IceHogs Officially Become A Part of the Chicago Blackhawks Family
Last Wednesday, the Chicago Blackhawks announced the purchase of the IceHogs as a part of a wide-ranging $23 million BMO Harris Bank Center Capital Renovation. Pirri's Hat Trick Fuels IceHogs Win
Forward Brandon Pirri's hat trick last Wednesday night secured a 4-3 win for the IceHogs over the Central Division's top-ranked Chicago Wolves to complete a four-game mini-series between the two in-state rivals. The win also gave the IceHogs their first victory over their in-state rivals this season (1-6-0-0) and four of the seven decisions have been decided by one goal.
Pirri Remembers When
For Pirri, the hat trick on Wednesday was his first since Dec. 8, 2018 when he was a member of the Chicago Wolves and recorded three goals against the IceHogs in a 4-0 Chicago win at BMO Harris Bank Center. For the IceHogs, his hat trick is the first since Dylan Sikura scored all three of his goals in the third period on Nov. 3, 2019 in a 7-4 win against the Wolves.
Rising Up the IceHogs All-Time Ranks
Pirri picked up all-time IceHogs goals 71, 72 and 73 on Wednesday, moving him past Mark McNeill (72) for second all-time in IceHogs goal scoring. Forward Jeremy Morin (2010-16) holds the record with 90 goals.
Slavin's Pro Career Off to Hot Start
Forward Josiah Slavin registered two assists on Wednesday and now has two goals and two assists for four points in his first to professional games. He scored in his professional debut on Mar. 28 vs. Chicago, added his second tally the following game on Apr. 3 at Chicago and set up Pirri's first and second goals Wednesday.
McLaughlin Stays Hot for Hogs
Forward Dylan McLaughlin earned an assist on Wednesday vs. Chicago and enters Tuesday’s showdown at Iowa on a three-game point streak (two goals, one assist). He has points in seven of his last eight games (four goals, six assists) including a four-game point streak (two goals, five assists) from Mar. 13 to Mar. 22.
Lucas Carlsson Heads to Panthers in Trade with Blackhawks
2019 and 2020 IceHogs Defenseman of the Year Lucas Carlsson joined the Florida Panthers last Thursday in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks. The Gavale, Sweden, native had one goal and two assists for three points in seven games with the IceHogs this season and had 62 points (15 goals, 47 assists) in 124 career games with the IceHogs.
IceHogs Support the Autism Program of Easterseals During #AutismAwarenessMonth
Throughout the month of April, the Rockford IceHogs will honor and celebrate Autism Awareness Month presented by Lawncare By Walter, Inc. To pay tribute to Autism Awareness, the IceHogs will showcase special puzzle-piece logos on the ice at BMO Harris Bank Center for the remainder of the 2021 season and host special raffles and auctions through the team’s DASH platform.
