Hogs Look to Punch Postseason Ticket Tonight vs. Moose at the BMO
Rockford, IL – The Rockford IceHogs look to make today the magic day as they head into tonight’s matchup with the Manitoba Moose needing just one point to clinch their spot in the 2022 Calder Cup Playoffs. Puck drop is 6:00 p.m. at the BMO and tonight is the eighth and final meeting between the two clubs this season.

IceHogs Closing in on Magic Number
Entering today’s contest, the IceHogs’ magic number to clinch a
2022 Calder Cup Playoff berth is one lone point. The scenarios for Rockford to
clinch tonight include:
(a)
a point vs. Manitoba, OR
(b) a Texas OTL/SOL at Iowa, OR
(c) a regulation finish in the Texas-Iowa game
Looks Familiar
The IceHogs and Moose just clashed with each other last weekend when Rockford traveled to Manitoba for matchups on Saturday and Sunday. The Moose took game one on Saturday 3-2, while the IceHogs responded right back with a dominating 5-1 win on Sunday. In the win, forwards Dylan McLaughlin and Josiah Slavin each recorded a goal and an assist.
Wrapping it Up
The IceHogs are down to just the final week of the regular season. Looking ahead, they’ll host the Iowa Wild at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow and then travel to Iowa for a 6:00 p.m. matchup on Wednesday, April 27. From there Rockford will take on the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29 before returning home for the final game of the season against the Wolves at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday April 30.
