Prospects Camp To Run July 7-11
The Chicago Blackhawks announced today the team will conduct its 2008 Prospects Camp from Monday, July 7 through Friday, July 11 at Edge Ice Arena in Bensenville, IL.
The camp roster of 50 invitees will be highlighted by 2008 NHL Entry Draft selections Kyle Beach (11th overall) and Shawn Lalonde (68th overall); 2007 Draft picks Bill Sweatt (38th overall) and Akim Aliu (56th overall); 2006 Draft choice Igor Makarov (33rd overall); 2005 Draft picks Dan Bertram (54th overall) and Nathan Davis (113th overall); and Finnish goalie prospect Antti Niemi. The camp will kick off on the morning of Monday, July 7, with strength and conditioning testing for all camp attendees followed by an afternoon skate from approximately noon to 4:00 P.M.
From Tuesday, July 8, through Friday, July 11, the pros will have an on-ice workout from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., while the two groups of prospects will have their respective on-ice and off-ice workouts simultaneously from 11:15 A.M. – 12:15 P.M., followed by a prospect scrimmage from 12:30 – 2:00 P.M.
