Hogs’ leading goal scorer returns

Chicago, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Wednesday that the National Hockey League club has reassigned winger Pascal Pelletier to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Pelletier, 25, returns to Rockford after a six-game stint in Chicago. The Labrador City, Newfoundland native was held pointless in his stay in Chicago after getting recalled on March 4. Overall this season Pelletier has played in seven games with the Blackhawks.

With Rockford in 2008-09, Pelletier leads the club with 27 goals and ranks third with 51 points. Pelletier has played 13 total games in the NHL including six last season with the Boston Bruins. The winger was acquired on July 24, 2008 from the Bruins in exchange for Martin St. Pierre.
