Rockford, IL – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL), wrap up a home-and-home weekend series against the Chicago Wolves today at 4:00 at BMO Harris Bank Center. Today is the fifth of 11 scheduled meetings between the two clubs.

IceHogs Battle Wolves in Four-Game Series
The Rockford IceHogs take on the Chicago Wolves in Game 2 of four consecutive meetings today against their in-state rivals and the second contest of a home-and-home weekend. The series wraps up on Apr. 3 at Chicago and Apr. 7 in Rockford. The four-game set marks the longest stretch the IceHogs see one opponent this season.
Johnson Is Heating Up
With a goal last night at Chicago, forward Reese Johnson is riding a four-game point streak (three goals, three assists) heading into today's rematch. The point streak is tied for the longest by an IceHogs skater this season, matching Dylan McLaughlin's four-game streak (two goals, five assists) from Mar. 13-22.
Franson Picking Up Points
Defenseman Cody Franson enters today on a three-game point streak with two goals and two assists for four points. The stretch is his second three-game streak of the season (Feb. 27-Mar. 6, two goals, three assists).
Franson Guiding IceHogs and AHL Blueliners
Franson leads the IceHogs with 12 points (four goals, eight assists) and is tied for first among AHL defensemen in points entering today's showdown vs. Chicago.
Nalimov and Mitchell Make AHL Debuts
Goaltender Ivan Nalimov and defenseman Ian Mitchell made their AHL debuts last night vs. Chicago. Nalimov made 31 saves last night in the 6-3 setback and Mitchell registered one shot on goal. They became the 38th and 39th IceHogs players to appear in a game this season. Last season, the IceHogs saw 42 skate in at least one contest.
Back-To-Back Breakdown
Today, the IceHogs wrap up their fourth of six back-to-back sets this season. The Hogs will see the Iowa Wild on Apr. 23-24 and Chicago May 14-15 to close their back-to-back season schedules.
Road Warriors
After today, the IceHogs will spend most of their time away from BMO Harris Bank Center. Seven of the next nine contests will be on the road and only five home games remain on the 2020-21 schedule. The IceHogs host the Wolves on Apr. 7 and 17, take on Grand Rapids on May 1, see Iowa on May 9 and close the home schedule vs. Chicago on May 14.
