Wear red on Friday to support the Blackhawks

Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs, proud affiliates of the Chicago Blackhawks, and two Rockford restaurants are hosting an opportunity to watch Game 3 of the National Hockey League’s Western Conference Finals between the Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings.

Join other Blackhawks fans at SportsPage, 3907 Broadway in Rockford, host of all 40 IceHogs road games in 2008-09 or at Hawks Nest, 310 Church St. for a Blackhawks Viewing Party. The puck drops at 7 p.m. but get there early for drink and food specials.

All fans are also encouraged to wear red at both locations to show their support for the Blackhawks as the parent club tries to come out of a 2-0 deficit against their oldest rivals.

At SportsPage look for $2.25 domestic pints, $3.00 cherry bombs and $8.95 all-you-can-eat walleye. Then after the game, stay for dancing at Pulse, SportsPage’s new dance club.

The game will also be on all of the televisions, including one outside under the tent, at Hawks Nest, across from the Rockford MetroCentre. Register to win a premiere IceHogs jersey or tickets to the IceHogs’ Opening Night of the 2009-10 season at the MetroCentre. Hawks Nest will also feature food and drink specials.
