Stan Mikita, Denis Savard To Sign Winter Classic DVD At Best Buy Stores

What: Autograph opportunity on copies of “Welcome to the Frozen Confines,” the official DVD of NHL Winter Classic 2009.

Where/When: Savard will be appearing at the Best Buy Store in Countryside (11 Countryside Plaza) on Monday, June 15, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Mikita will be appearing at the Best Buy Store in Downers Grove (1432 Butterfield Road) on Tuesday, June 16 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. All times are subject to change.

Event Information: Mikita and Savard will be making two-hour appearances at the above Chicagoland Best Buy locations on Monday, June 15 and Tuesday, June 16 to autograph copies of “Welcome to the Frozen Confines,” the official DVD of NHL Winter Classic 2009. There is a maximum of one copy autographed per person at each event and no other memorabilia will be signed.

“Welcome to the Frozen Confines” is a 50-minute behind the scenes DVD that chronicles the historic NHL Winter Classic 2009 at Wrigley Field, which pitted the Blackhawks against the Detroit Red Wings. This all-access documentary-style feature lets hockey fans relive the passion, excitement and drama from a very unique perspective. The DVD features exclusive interviews with the NHL and Blackhawks executives along with players and coaches and fans. The game, which attracted 40,818 fans to Wrigley Field, drew an 11. 8 overnight rating and a 21 share (12:00 to 3:15 CT) on NBC in Chicago and over 4.4 million U.S. viewers overall, making it the most-watched NHL game in almost 34 years, according to Nielsen Media Research.
