ONE MORE TIME, ICEHOGS AND WOLVES MEET AGAIN

Final MetroCentre meeting off ’08-09 between rivals

Rockford, Ill.- Including tonight’s contest, eight out of the Rockford IceHogs last 18 games have been against the rival Chicago Wolves. Tonight marks the final one at the Rockford MetroCentre between the IceHogs and Wolves during the 2008-09 regular season and it starts at 7:30 p.m.

Rockford has had success so far this season against Chicago compiling a 6-2-0-0 record against the Wolves including 4-0-0-0 at home. Rockford won the last meeting last Friday 3-1 and have won three straight in the seasons series.

Jack Skille and Pascal Pelletier have been carrying the IceHogs’ offensive load lately as the combo has each tallied nine points over Rockford’s last five games. Skille also paces Rockford against Chicago this season as he has 12 points in eight games against the Wolves in 2008-09.

Tonight also marks the official beginning of the second half of the regular season for the IceHogs as they’ve played 40 games so far. Rockford won’t play Chicago again until the regular season finale on April 11 at the Allstate Arena.

The first 1,000 fans 21-and-over to the MetroCentre tonight will pick up an IceHogs Jersey Koozie courtesy of Bud Light and The Eagle 96.7 FM.
