The blueliner to make second appearance of season with Chicago

Rockford, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Dale Tallon announced on Sunday that the National Hockey League team has recalled defenseman Jordan Hendry from the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Hendry is in his fourth professional season and the recall marks his second appearance with the Blackhawks in 2008-09. The 25-year-old played in the first eight games for the Hawks this season and recorded four PIMs before being reassigned to Rockford on Oct. 28.

In the 2007-08 Blackhawk campaign, Hendry appeared in 40 games notching one goal and three assists. He also appeared in 45 games for the Hogs scoring three goals and tallying four assists.

With the IceHogs this year Hendry appeared in 43 games while chipping in three goals and five assists. Hendry has missed a total of 16 games with knee and hand injuries. With the recall, Hendry becomes the ninth IceHogs player on the season to play with the Blackhawks.

Stanley Cup Fact: The bowl of the Stanley Cup was made of silver and stood 7.28 inches tall.
