Rockford, IL – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League (NHL), host the Grand Rapids Griffins tonight at 6:00 CT at BMO Harris Bank Center. Tonight is the seventh of eight scheduled meetings between the two clubs and the second contest of three consecutive meetings.

IceHogs Welcome Back 2020-21 Season Ticket Holders
For the final three home games of the 2021 season starting tonight, the IceHogs are excited to welcome back 2020-21 Full and 20-game Season Ticket Holders to BMO Harris Bank Center! In April, Season Ticket Holders entered a lottery with a chance to attend one of the final contests (May 1, May 9 and May 14). In working with the Winnebago County Health Department, the IceHogs will enforce specific guidelines as outlined by the WCHD, including wearing masks and social distancing.
Hammy, We’re Home
With fans returning to BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday vs. Grand Rapids, the excitement will end a long drought of in-person IceHogs entertainment in the Stateline. The final IceHogs home game in front of the best fans in hockey was March 6, 2020, a 4-0 win over the Griffins. That was 422 days ago!
Griffins Grab First Home Win of Series
Through the first five games of the head-to-head series between the IceHogs and Griffins, the road team has earned every victory before the Griffins picked up a 3-2 win last Wednesday in Grand Rapids. The Griffins skated away with 3-1 (Feb. 18), 9-4 (Mar. 3) and 3-1 (Mar. 11) wins at BMO Harris Bank Center this season while the IceHogs are now 2-1-0 in Grand Rapids after picking up 2-1 OT wins in Grand Rapids on Mar. 13 and Mar. 16 and dropping Wednesday's showdown.
McLaughlin and Franson Battle for the Lead
Entering tonight and with only seven games remaining in the 2021 season, forward Dylan McLaughlin and defenseman Cody Franson are tired for the IceHogs team lead with 17 points and both earned points on Wednesday in Grand Rapids. Franson assisted on McLaughlin's power-play goal during the first period at Grand Rapids on Wednesday, enters tonight on a three-game assist streak (three assists) and now has four goals and 13 assists for 17 points. McLaughlin enters tonight with goals in each of his last two games and has six markers and 11 assists for 17 points.
Four Score and Five IceHogs
Forward Brandon Pirri enters tonight’s contest on a four-game point streak (five goals, two assists), which is tied for the longest streak by an IceHogs skater this season. Defenseman Cody Franson registered a four-game streak (two goals, four assists) from Mar. 16-28, forward Dylan McLaughlin had points in four-straight games (two goals, five assists) from Mar. 13-22, forward Reese Johnson racked up three goals and three assists for six points over four games from Mar. 7-27 and forward Josiah Slavin had the most recent stretch (three goals, two assists) from Mar. 28-Apr. 13.
Entwistle Riding Way of Success
IceHogs forward MacKenzie Entwistel, the reigning team Most Improved Player award winner from the 2019-20 season, has two assists in his last two games and points in eight of his last 11 contests (three goals, five assists).
