Hogs to re-honor re-retired football great with $4 tickets for Monday game vs. Milwaukee
Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs Team President Mark Bernard re-announced on Thursday that the American Hockey League club has “re-retired” the special $4 tickets for their Monday, March 23 game against the Milwaukee Admirals at 7:05 p.m.
“We have really re-struggled with this decision throughout the promotion-creating process,“ said Bernard. “But, in the end, we feel that we have made the right decision and look forward to promoting our game in front of the best fans in the world.
“Plus, our fans won’t even have to go all the way to New York to see their favorite players,” Bernard added.
Tickets, which will re-return to the special $4 rates in the upper end zone, can be purchased at the MetroCentre Box Office in downtown Rockford or by calling (815) 968-5222.
The first 2,000 fans at the game will pick up a 10th Anniversary Player Card set courtesy of U.S. Cellular.
The IceHogs will also re-reward the most decked out Favre fan with a pair of airline tickets to Orlando courtesy of Allegiant Air. Favre fans are encouraged to re-show up to the game in their Favre gear including jerseys, face paint, cheese heads and Favre t-shirts.
Ten lucky fans will also re-win a pair of Wrangler jeans made famous by the now re-retired gun-slinging NFL quarterback along with a copy of “Letters to Brett Favre: A Fan Tribute” by Thomas Hapka with Erick and Adam Rolfson. Fans will be able to re-register to win the jeans at the March 23 game.
“Letters to Brett Favre” will also be on sale throughout the game for $14.95 on the MetroCentre concourse. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Special Olympics.
