Stuffed animals from Saturday’s Teddy Bear Toss will be given away over the next few weeks
Rockford, Ill.- Rockford IceHogs players and coaches will be visiting the Rockford community’s three major medical centers throughout this week, giving stuffed animals to children hospitalized during the holiday season.
IceHogs generous fans threw 1,331 stuffed animals on to the ice after Tim Brent’s goal in the first period on Saturday during the annual Teddy Bear Toss. The stuffed animals will be given to Rockford-area charities and hospitals throughout the holiday season.
Rockford IceHogs players, coaches and Hammy will be at the following locations at these times:
  • Rockford Memorial Hospital, Tuesday, Dec. 16 from 1-2 p.m.
  • Swedish American Medical Center, Wednesday Dec. 17 from 1-2 p.m.
  • OSF St. Anthony’s Medical Center, Wednesday, Dec. 17 from 1-2 p.m.
Next Home Game: Friday, Dec. 19: Houston Aeros vs. Rockford IceHogs at 7:30 p.m. Rock Valley College, WTVO and the Rockford IceHogs are bringing back The Superfan. Cameron Hughes will be giving away t-shirts and causing a general ruckus throughout the night.
