ICEHOGS PARTNER WITH ESPN 1380 AND WIFR FOR EQUIPMENT DRIVE

Rockford, Ill. – It’s time to clean out the basement and garage and get into the giving spirit as the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League have teamed up with ESPN 1380 and WIFR to hold a youth sporting equipment drive to help the Stateline Boys and Girls Club.
Beginning Tuesday, Nov. 27 fans are encouraged to help give the gift of sports by donating any type of sports gear. All gently used or new sports equipment will be accepted, including bats, balls, gloves, sticks, helmets, skates, shoes, cleats, etc… Sports apparel will not be accepted. The equipment drive will run until Saturday, Dec. 22, and all donated equipment will be distributed to the Stateline Boys and Girls Club.
“It's always a good feeling when there are other people, businesses, agencies and organizations that choose to contribute time and resources to ensure that we can continue to provide programming, services and care at little to no cost to the youth and families we serve," said David Wilson from the Stateline Boys and Girls Clubs. "We are grateful as a community serving organization.”
All fans that participate by bringing an article of sports gear to the BMO Harris Bank Center will receive a special ticket offer (buy one ticket, get one free) for any IceHogs home game through the January 11th game.
