IceHogs Bring Back Harrison Israels for 2026-27 Season
Rockford, IL - The Rockford IceHogs and General Manager Mark Bernard announced that the team has re-signed forward Harrison Israels to a one-year AHL contract for the 2026-27 season.
"We are excited to have Harrison back with us for the 2026-2027 season," said Bernard. "He provided great depth for us in the second half of the season and was versatile playing up and down our line-up. We look forward to watching his continued development."
In his first professional season, Israels skated in 31 games with the IceHogs, recording three points. The Mississauga, ON native also saw action in 26 Indy Fuel contests where he notched six goals and nine assists.
Prior to turning pro, Israels played five season at the NCAA levels, totaling 130 games of Division 1 action. The 25-year-old skated last season with the University of Nebraska-Omaha as a graduate student and wore an "A" for the club during his only year with the Mavericks.
Israels spent four seasons at the University of Alaska-Fairbanks and was named team captain for the Junior and Senior years. In his final year with the Nanooks, the 6-foot-1, 210 lbs. forward led the team with a career-high 20 goals.
