ICEHOGS ANNOUNCE SIX PRIME DATES

Rockford to open ‘08-09 at home on Oct. 10

Rockford, Ill.-The Rockford IceHogs, proud member of the American Hockey League and direct affiliate of the National Hockey League’s Chicago Blackhawks announced six prime dates for the fast-approaching 2008-09 season. IceHogs Team President Ryan Washatka also announced promotions to go along with the prime dates, including some group ticket incentives.

The IceHogs’ prime dates for the club’s 10th Anniversary season include Friday, Oct. 10, Saturday Dec. 13, Saturday, Dec. 20, Friday, Dec. 26, Saturday, Jan. 3 and Saturday, Jan. 24. Friday, Oct. 10 marks the IceHogs home opener for the ’08-09 campaign.

The first 5,000 fans to Rockford’s opener on Oct. 10 will receive an IceHogs 2008-09 Magnet Schedule. The first 1,000 group tickets sold for opening night will include a magnet schedule, 10th Anniversary Puck and T-shirt.

On Saturday, Dec. 13, the IceHogs will welcome a celebrity appearance to the MetroCentre. The celebrity will be announced at a later date. Every group leader who books a group to the IceHogs Dec. 13 game will be entered into a drawing for four tickets to a meet and greet with that night’s celebrity. Every group member will also receive an IceHogs T-shirt and a free ticket to a future Wednesday IceHogs home game.

The first 1,000 fans to the IceHogs Saturday, Dec. 20 game will receive an IceHogs Sno-Globe courtesy of the Rockford Park District. If you want to avoid the long lines for the Sno-Globe, be one of the first to book a group as the first 500 group tickets sold for the game will include a Sno-Globe and IceHogs T-shirt.

Celebrate Boxing Day with IceHogs on Friday, Dec. 26 and every group ticket will include a free ticket to a future IceHogs Wednesday home game and an IceHogs T-shirt.

The IceHogs along with Mega Truck Rental present Fleece Gloves for the first 1,000 fans on Saturday, Jan. 3. The first 500 group tickets will include the fleece gloves and an IceHogs T-shirt.

One of the IceHogs hottest giveaways for the 2008-09 season will take place on Saturday, Jan. 24. The first 1,500 kids 14 and under will receive an IceHogs Mr. Potato Head courtesy of Mrs. Fisher’s Potato Chips. But kids can assure a Mr. Potato Head as one will be included for the first 500 kids in a group outing. The first 500 group tickets sold for the game will also include a bag of Mrs. Fisher’s Potato Chips and an IceHogs T-shirt.

Fans also have the option of purchasing Six-Game Prime Pack featuring all six of the above listed games. Prices for the Six-Game Prime Packs are $60, $84, $102 and $120. Group ticket prices are $8, $11, $14 and $17.

Opponents and times for the IceHogs prime dates will be announced later this summer. An on sale date for individual tickets will also be announced at a later date. Group tickets, however, can now be purchased by calling the IceHogs office at (815) 986-6465.
