HOGS AMBASSADOR HEWER TO DANCE WITH THE ROCKFORD STARS
Event will raise money for Family Counseling Services Rockford, Ill.-Rockford IceHogs Team Ambassador Oak Hewer will participate in the Family Counseling Services’ Dancing with the Rockford Stars on Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Clock Tower Resort and Conference Center.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be reserved by calling 815-962-5585. Cost is $50 per person or $450 per table of ten.
IceHogs fans vote for Oak on-line by visiting www.dancewithrockfordstars.com. Each vote is $1 and all the money from the fan voting will go directly to the Family Counseling Services. Family Counseling Services’ mission is to provide professional counseling services to those who have no insurance or means in the Rockford area.
Other dancers in the competition include Amy Brewer from Riverside Bank, Mary Cacioppi from RAEDC, Dr. Kris Tumilowicz from Dental Dimensions and Julia Valdez from the City of Rockford.
Each of the local celebrities will be paired up with a local professional dancer. The pairs will be judged by a panel of local celebrities that includes OSF’s Mike Robinson, Georgette Braun from the Rockford Register Star, Cliffbreaker’s Nicole Kilmer and WNTA’s Dean Ervin.
Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 9 vs. Manitoba Moose. Game time is 4:35 p.m. The IceHogs begin the 2010-11 season against the Manitoba Moose and the first 5,000 fans will receive a 2010-11 IceHogs Magnet schedule courtesy of U.S. Cellular, Dental Dimensions, Guerilla Graffix and the Illinois Pork Producers. Before the game on Saturday there is a fan festival from 1-4 p.m. where fans can enjoy music, food, and entertainment.
