HENDRY RETURNED TO ROCKFORD

Rockford, Ill- Chicago Blackhawks General Manager, Dale Tallon, announced Wednesday that defenseman Jordan Hendry was returned on loan to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

Hendry was recalled by the Blackhawks from Rockford on March 22. During his recall the Nokomis, Sask. native logged 9:58 of ice time and was held scoreless in Chicago’s 4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings. In 43 games with Rockford this season the d-man has recorded eight points (3g-5a) and 37 PIM. Hendry is also a +7 on the season.

Overall this season Hendry has appeared on the blue line in nine games with the parent club in Chicago, posting 4 PIM, one shot and a -1. Hendry is expected to be in Rockford in time for tonight’s game against the Iowa Chops at 7:05 p.m.

Next Home Game: Wednesday, March 25 vs. Iowa Chops. Game time is slated for 7:05 p.m. The final meeting of the season between the IceHogs and Chops happens on Wednesday at the MetroCentre. The game is the tenth on the season and the IceHogs will try to even the season series with a win. One lucky college student will drive away in a car that will be given away courtesy of Speedway Auto Mall. Wednesday is also another WXRX Student Rush Night as students with a valid ID can purchase any seat for $10 at the door.
