Blackhawks Send Korchinski to Rockford
Rockford, IL - The Chicago Blackhawks today assigned defenseman Kevin Korchinski to Rockford (AHL).
The IceHogs Training Camp roster grows to 38 players (11 defensemen, 22 forwards, and five goalies). Players will be added to the Rockford training camp roster during the remainder of the Chicago Blackhawks' preseason schedule.
Kevin Korchinski embarks on his third professional season in the Blackhawks organization. The lefty defenseman was selected 7th overall by Chicago in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft.
Last season, the Saskatoon native skated in 56 games with the IceHogs and collected 27 points (3g, 24a). He paced all Rockford defensemen with four points during the Hogs' playoff run and scored two goals in the first-round series against the Wolves.
Korchinski was called up to the Blackhawks for 16 contests and recorded one goal and one assist in his NHL time last year.
