Blackhawks Release Children's Book "The Magic Uniform"

The Chicago Blackhawks have announced the release of their first children’s book, “The Magic Uniform,” which will be sold on the concourse and at home games, inside Fandemonium, at HawkQuarters (330 N. Michigan Ave.), online at www.chicagoblackhawks.com and select Borders locations beginning Monday, December 1st, 2008.
In conjunction with the release of the book, Blackhawks Adam Burish, Kris Versteeg, and additional Blackhawks players will be on hand at Borders in Deerfield (49 S. Waukegan Rd.) on Monday, Dec. 1, from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M., to do a reading and autograph purchased copies.
Written by Comcast SportsNet Chicago’s Josh Mora and illustrated by his wife Allison, “The Magic Uniform,” depicts the story of a boy’s love for the game of hockey and his belief that wearing his favorite uniform helps his hometown team win. The story is told through the eyes of the boy’s grandfather and is for readers of all ages.
“The Magic Uniform,” is part of the Chicago Blackhawks community initiative of helping children understand the importance of reading and education. All proceeds from the book go to Chicago Blackhawks Charities.
