Blackhawks Reassign Hendry To Rockford

The Chicago Blackhawks have reassigned defenseman Jordan Hendry to the American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs.

Hendry, 25, has recorded four penalty minutes in nine games over two stints with the Blackhawks this season, which includes being held scoreless in 9:58 of action in the team’s 4-1 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Sunday. The Nokomis, Saskatchewan, native has recorded eight points (3G, 5A), 37 penalty minutes and a +7 plus/minus rating in 43 games with the IceHogs this season. Last season, he made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks, posting four points (G, 3A) and 22 penalty minutes in 40 contests.

The Blackhawks (38-22-1) host the San Jose Sharks (48-14-10) at the United Center tonight at 7:30 P.M. The game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet and heard on News/Talk 720 WGN Radio.
