WISE LOANED TO INDY
Rockford, Ill. - The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, top affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, have loaned left wing Jamie Wise to the Indy Fuel of the ECHL.
The 6-foot, 205-pound forward appeared in both of the IceHogs preseason matches, picking up two penalty minutes in the process.
A native of Stouffville, Ontario, the 21-year-old appeared in all three games for the Blackhawks prospect team which participated in the London, Ontario rookie tournament in September. After the tournament Wise inked a one-year AHL deal with Rockford on Sept. 9.
Wise came to Rockford from Ryerson University in Toronto, and in 2013-14 he led the Rams in scoring with 45 points (21g-24a) en route to being named team-MVP and a CIS Second-Team All-Canadian.
Indy, the IceHogs’ ECHL affiliate, will begin their inaugural season on Oct. 17 when they host the Fort Wayne Komets.
The IceHogs’ roster now stands at 24 players, consisting of 14 forwards, eight defensemen and two goaltenders.
