Week 9 Recap:
Despite outshooting their opponent in two of three contests over the weekend, the Rockford IceHogs were unable to muster enough offense for a win in Week 9. The IceHogs face three games in as many days for the second week in a row in Week 10, including their first contest of the season against the Midwest Division Rival Milwaukee Admirals.

Hot Hog: Week 9:
Jeremy Morin Left Wing
Left Wing Jeremy Morin chipped in a goal and an assist for the IceHogs in Week 9. On Friday, Morin dished out an assist on Rockford’s lone goal in a 4-1 loss to Lake Erie. Then, entering the third period on Sunday with the IceHogs down a pair of goals to the Rivermen, Morin tried to spark a comeback and split the lead in half with a power-play tally, his fifth goal of the season. The second-year winger ranks seventh on the team with 11 points (5g-6a) in 20 games.
Upcoming Games:
Friday, Dec. 9 vs. Chicago: The IceHogs return to the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7:05 p.m. to face the Chicago Wolves for the third of 12 Illinois Lottery Cup tilts between the two teams this season. It’s the seond pint glass giveaway, as the first 1,500 fans age 21 and older will receive a voucher redeemable for an IceHogs pint glass at either local Applebee’s location. And the band Cylinder 6 will perform before the game and during both intermissions.
Saturday, Dec. 10 vs. Grand Rapids: Rockford hosts the Grand Rapids Griffins at 7:05 p.m. Saturday marks the Griffins’ final trip to the BMO Harris Bank Center during the 2011-12 regular season. Rockford travels to Grand Rapids on Dec. 14 for the final contest between the two teams.
Sunday, Dec. 11 at Milwaukee: In their third game in as many days, the IceHogs travel to Milwaukee for their first battle of the season with the Admirals. Game time is 4 p.m. More than a fourth of the way through the 2011-12 slate, the Admirals are the only division rivals the IceHogs have yet to face.

Bud Light Hog Talk makes its weekly appearance tonight at Granite City Food and Brewery from 6-7 p.m. Granite City is located at 7140 Harrison Ave. next to CherryVale Mall. Fans can join Mike Peck from 6-7 p.m. most Mondays as he chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. This week’s guests include IceHogs goalie Alexander Salak, Video Coach Matt Prefontaine and Assistant Coach Ben Simon. Take advantage of food and Bud Light specials. If you can't make it to Granite City, tune into 1330 AM WNTA.
