WEEK 8 REPORT: HOGS TAKE POINTS IN 2 OF 3 GAMES

Week8 11 27
BACON BITS:
-The Rockford IceHogs notched points in two of three games last week, downing the Iowa Wild 3-1 on Wednesday (Nov. 22), taking a 2-1 OTL against Iowa on Friday (Nov. 24) and dropping a 4-3 contest at the Chicago Wolves on Saturday (Nov. 25)...Rockford has notched points in four of its last five games, going 3-1-1-0 since Nov. 18, and is currently ranked third in the Central Division with an overall record of 11-8-1-0.
-Rockford collected three of four possible points at home last week and is now 7-4-1-0 in 12 total games at the BMO Harris Bank Center in 2017-18...The IceHogs begin this week’s play tied for second in the AHL in wins at home, trailing only Wilkes-Barre/Scranton’s eight total home wins thus far this season.
-The Hogs enter the week with a perfect penalty kill over the last six games...Rockford has held opponents without a power-play goal since Nov. 15 and combined to kill off each of the last 20 opposing power plays over that stretch...The IceHogs allowed 17 power-play goals in 67 attempts (74.6%) prior to their current perfect run.
-Matthew Highmore netted a natural hat trick Wednesday to lead the Hogs to a 3-1 win over the Wild...The hat trick was the first of Highmore’s pro career - in just his 18th pro game - and the first for an IceHogs skater since Brandon Mashinter on Nov. 12 last season vs. the Charlotte Checkers (3-0 shutout)...Highmore now leads the IceHogs with nine goals this season.
-Luc Snuggerud notched just two points in his first 10 games but has since combined for four points over his last four games since Nov. 19...Snuggerud has found the scoresheet in three of those four games and totaled 1g-3a-4pts in that span.
-Jeff Glass won five straight starts from Oct. 21 - Nov. 19 and is unbeaten over his last seven appearances since the beginning of that stretch on Oct. 21...The IceHogs netminder is 5-0-1 with a 2.25 GAA and .920 save percentage during that span.
