WEEK 11 REPORT: STREAK SNAPPED, HOGS STUMBLE

BACON BITS:
-The IceHogs snapped their four-game win streak with a loss on Tuesday against the Chicago Wolves before being swept in a two-game series at San Antonio on Friday and Sunday...The Hogs have now dropped three straight games and enter the week with an overall record of 15-11-1-1 and ranked second in the Central Division.
-The IceHogs scored 4+ goals in each of their four games during the team’s four-game win streak from Dec. 1-9, but have since managed just one tally in each contest during their current three-game skid...The IceHogs have fired 103 shots over the last three games while scoring only three total goals.
-Opponents have scored the first goal of the game in three straight games following last week’s losses to Chicago and San Antonio...Including those three contests, opponents have now scored first in 16 of 28 total games this season...The IceHogs boast a 10-2-0-0 record in the 12 contests in which they have scored the first goal, but are just 5-9-1-1 when opponents net the opening tally of the game.
-Andreas Martinsen scored Rockford’s lone tally in each of its two games at San Antonio over the weekend...The forward has now scored a goal in five of his last seven games and combined for 5g-1a-6pts over those seven tilts, dating to Dec. 1...Martinsen leads the team and is tied for seventh in the AHL in goals over that span.
-Carl Dahlstrom capped a season-high five-game point streak with an assist during Tuesday’s loss to Chicago...The defenseman tallied 1g-8a-9pts over those five games from Dec. 1-12...Dahlstrom now enters the week having skated to an even-or-better plus/minus rating in each of the first seven games during the month of December...Dahlstrom leads the team and is ranked tied for fifth in the AHL with a +10 rating thus far this month.
-Rockford was held scoreless on the power play in each of its three games last week and has now failed to convert on the man advantage in 15 of the last 19 games...The IceHogs are 4-for-82 (4.9%) on the power play over that span.

UPCOMING GAMES
Friday, Dec. 22: The IceHogs welcome back the Chicago Wolves to the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7 p.m. on Dec. 22. Friday is an Illinois Lottery Cup matchup and the first 1,000 fans ages 21+ through the doors will receive a free IceHogs cooler backpack, courtesy of Bud Light.

Saturday, Dec. 23: Rockford caps a weekend set with a 6 p.m. contest against the reigning Calder Cup champion Grand Rapids Griffins. The first 1,500 fans to the game will receive an IceHogs bomber hat, courtesy of Pepsi.
BUD LIGHT HOG TALK
Bud Light Hog Talk returns to Vintage 501 in January (date will be announced at a later time this month). Vintage 501 is located in downtown Rockford at 501 E. State St. Fans can join broadcasters Mike Peck and Brittany Toolis from 6-7 p.m. on the first Monday of every month throughout the season as the duo chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. For those unable to attend the show in-person, Monday’s show will be streaming live on IceHogs.com. “Bud Light Hog Talk” will also be available on www.icehogs.com following the live show. Fans can access the podcast through the “Audio Highlights” link in the “Multimedia” menu.
