WEEK 10 REPORT: HOGS SWEEP GRIFFINS FOR FOUR STRAIGHT WINS

BACON BITS
-The Rockford IceHogs swept a home-and-home series with Grand Rapids last week, downing the Griffins 4-1 at Van Andel Arena on Friday and notching a 7-2 victory at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Saturday...The Hogs have now won four straight games and are 7-2-1-0 in their last 10 contests since Nov. 18...Rockford now enters the week ranked second in the Central Division with an overall record of 15-9-1-0.

-The IceHogs have suffered just one loss in regulation over their last eight home games and boast a record of 6-1-1-0 at the BMO Harris Bank Center in that span...The Hogs are 10-5-1-0 at home on the season and begin this week’s action ranked first in the AHL in home wins, points at home (21) and goals scored at home (54).

-Rockford has scored 4+ goals in each of the last four games during the team’s current win streak...The IceHogs have combined for 21 goals over that span, good for an average of 5.3 goals per game, and are outscoring opponents 21-8 (+13) during the four-game win streak.

-Carl Dahlstrom has tallied at least one point in each of his first four games during the month of December...The defenseman has combined for 1g-7a-8pts in four games in December and currently leads the league in assists this month and share the league lead in both points and plus/minus rating (+9) thus far in December.

-Jeff Glass won his lone start last week, stopping 33 of 34 pucks at Grand Rapids on Friday...Glass has now won eight of his last 10 starts and is unbeaten in nine of those 10 appearances after taking Iowa to overtime on Nov. 24...The netminder is tied for fifth in the AHL in wins during that stretch.

-Tomas Jurco currently owns the AHL’s longest active goal streak with one goal in each of his last four games...Jurco has totaled six points during his current four-game goal and point streak, combining for 4g-2a-6pts over that span...Overall, the forward enters the week with 9g-9a-18pts on the season and ranked third in the AHL with 85 total shots on goal.

UPCOMING GAMES
Tuesday, Dec. 12: The Rockford IceHogs take on the Chicago Wolves for an Illinois Lottery Cup showdown. Tuesday is a Fas Fuel Winning Weekday, and if the Hogs win, tickets from Tuesday’s game can be redeemed for a ticket of equal or lesser value to the following Fas Fuel Winning Weekdays game on Tuesday, Jan. 2. Fans can also enjoy $2 tacos, select beer, and companion tickets as part of Taco Tuesday.

Friday, Dec. 15: The Hogs travel to San Antonio for the first of two straight road games at the One AT&T Center. The IceHogs went winless in two road games last year against the Rampage, suffering one regulation loss and a one overtime defeat.

Sunday, Dec. 17: Rockford caps its two-game series on the road in San Antonio with a matinee matchup against the Rampage. The IceHogs are 12-10-1-1 all-time in San Antonio against the Rampage.

BUD LIGHT HOG TALK
Bud Light Hog Talk returns to Vintage 501 TONIGHT, Monday, Dec. 11, from 6-7 p.m. Vintage 501 is located in downtown Rockford at 501 E. State St. Fans can join broadcasters Mike Peck and Brittany Toolis from 6-7 p.m. on the first Monday of every month throughout the season as the duo chats with IceHogs players, coaches and front office members. For those unable to attend the show in-person, Monday’s show will be streaming live on IceHogs.com. “Bud Light Hog Talk” will also be available on www.icehogs.com following the live show. Fans can access the podcast through the “Audio Highlights” link in the “Multimedia” menu. Tonight's guests are Anthony Louis and Luc Snuggerud.
