WEEK 10: HOGS SNAP WINLESS STREAK WITH TWO VICTORIES

Bacon Bits:
-The Rockford IceHogs snapped their franchise record-tying nine-game winless streak with a 4-2 victory vs. Manitoba Saturday. The Hogs then downed Chicago, 4-3, in a shootout Sunday for their first set of back-to-back victories since Nov. 16-19.
-Rockford went 0-5-1-3 during its nine-game winless streak to match the all-time record from an 0-9-0 skid during UHL affiliation in 2001.
-Captain Jake Dowell (299 games) is currently tied with Evan Brophey (2007-11) for the IceHogs' franchise record in games played. Dowell, at 299 games, is set to break the record and become Rockford's first 300-game skater this Wednesday (Dec. 21) vs. Chicago.
-Spencer Abbott netted his third shootout goal of the season Sunday and is now tied for second in the AHL in that category.
-Tanner Kero leads all Rockford skaters with 13 points (4G, 9A) in the last 14 games. He is currently tied for the team lead in both goals (6G) and points (18pts) on the season.
-Goaltender Mac Carruth has won back-to-back starts since snapping his personal seven-game winless streak during Saturday's win vs. Manitoba. Carruth has combined for 53 saves over those two victories.
-The IceHogs have fired 30+ shots in seven straight games and currently rank fourth in the AHL in shots per game (32.52 shots/game, 878 total shots).
-Forward Kyle Baun produced his first three-point game of his professional career Sunday, notching a goal, two assists and a +2 plus/minus rating at Chicago. Baun leads the IceHogs with an even plus/minus rating on the season and is +4 over his last five games.
-Sunday’s comeback, shootout victory was the first time since March 18, 2015 that Rockford had won a game after trailing two periods.
