WALTERS RECALLED TO ROCKFORD
Right wing rejoins team after appearing in five games with Toledo
Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the 2015 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced that they have recalled right wing Dane Walters from the Toledo Walleye (ECHL).
Walters, 26, returns to the IceHogs after being assigned to Toledo on Jan. 2. He has played in five games with Toledo since that time, posting two goals, to bump his ECHL season total to two goals and two assists in 11 games with the Walleye. The St. Paul, Minn. native has appeared in 14 games with Rockford this year, collecting one goal and four penalty minutes.
Last season, Walters notched one goal and five assists in 19 games with Rockford. Prior to joining the IceHogs in 2014-15, the winger tallied 17 points (9g-8a) in 27 games with the Walleye.
Next Home Game: Friday, Jan. 22 vs. Iowa Wild at 7 p.m. The IceHogs face the Wild for the first of two games in a weekend series. The first 2,500 fans will receive a fleece blanket courtesy of OSF.
