VOTE FOR THE ICEHOGS THIRD BOBBLEHEAD GIVEAWAY AT FAN FEST SATURDAY
Rockford, Ill.- The Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League kick off the 2010-11 regular season against the Manitoba Moose on Saturday, Oct. 9. The team will hold Fan Fest from 1-4 p.m. before the puck drops at 4:35 p.m.
The Fan Fest will take place on the Main St. block between Elm St. and State St. The event is free and open to the public. Fan Fest is sponsored by U.S. Cellular, Guerilla Graffix, the Illinois Pork Producers Association, Pepsi and WNTA.
The Illinois Pork Producers Association will provide free pork sliders and Pepsi will have free samples of Pepsi Max available. Other food and refreshments will also be offered at the Fan Fest.
Jeff Randall and the Sunday Best will perform a free concert on the Fan Fest grounds from 2-3:30 p.m.
As a part of the IceHogs 2010-11 bobblehead series, fans will have an opportunity to vote for the third bobblehead in the three-player set. The third and final bobblehead giveaway is slated for Saturday, March 19 and fans can vote for their choice at the U.S. Cellular Mobile Tour Experience. Candidates for the bobblehead are Troy Brouwer, Dave Bolland and Niklas Hjalmarsson.
The Army will also have a humvee and other equipment available to view.
Doors to the IceHogs-Moose regular season opener will open at 3:30 p.m. The first 5,000 fans to pass through the turnstiles will receive an IceHogs magnet schedule. Following the game, fans will be invited to stick around to watch the pregame ceremonies live from the United Center on the MetroCentre’s big screen as the Blackhawks raise their 2010 Stanley Cup Championship banner. Fans can also participate in an open skate on the MetroCentre ice.
