Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs released the following statement regarding goaltender Mark Visentin:
IceHogs Chief Medical Advisor & Head Team Physician Dr. Geoff Van Thiel:
“Mark underwent successful surgery on March 16th to repair chronic instability of his right ankle. Although Mark will not return to activity this season, we expect him to return to full hockey activities in approximately 10-12 weeks.”
Visentin, 23, appeared in 13 contests with the IceHogs this season, posting a record of 4-6-2. The Waterdown, Ont. native accumulated a 2.60 goals against average, .906 save percentage and one shutout.
