TRAINING CAMP ROSTER REDUCED IN ROCKFORD

Rockford, Ill. – The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs announced on Friday that they have assigned goaltender Eric Levine to their ECHL affiliate, the Indy Fuel. Additionally, eight players have been released following the fifth day of training camp in Rockford.

Players released from their Professional Try-Out (PTO) agreements include forwards Anthony Beauregard, Tyler Currier, Tommy Olczyk, Matt Rupert, Cody Sharib, and Marek Tvrdon, and defensemen Matt Stanisz and Travis Walsh.

Along with Levine, six of those players will report to Indy including Beauregard, Currier, Rupert, Sharib, Tvrdon, and Stanisz.
The IceHogs roster now stands at 29 players including 16 forwards, 10 defensemen, and three goalies.

The IceHogs travel to Milwaukee tonight to take on the Admirals in their second and final preseason contest. The game is at 7 p.m. at the Kern Center on the campus of the Milwaukee School of Engineering, and will be broadcast on the Milwaukee Admirals website, MilwaukeeAdmirals.com. Regular Season Home Opener: Saturday, Oct. 22 vs. Milwaukee at 7 p.m. The IceHogs open their 18th season of professional hockey at the BMO with the first home game of the 2016-17 season.
