THREE DEFENSEMEN ASSIGNED TO ROCKFORD
Chicago, Ill. - The Chicago Blackhawks announced today they have assigned defensemen Dillon Fournier, Ville Pokka and Viktor Svedberg to the Rockford IceHogs.
Svedberg, 25, has skated in three preseason games for Chicago this year, tallying one assist. In 124 career games with the IceHogs Svedberg has compiled 38 points (6G, 32A).
Pokka, 22, has appeared in four preseason games with the Blackhawks this season. He played in all 76 games for the IceHogs last season and led all IceHogs defensemen with 45 points (10G-35A). In 2014-15 he received Rookie of the Year honors for Rockford after recording eight goals and 22 assists in 68 games.
Fournier, 22, was Chicago's second-round (48th overall) selection in the 2012 NHL Draft. He played two games for the IceHogs in 2015-16 and earned three points in 21 contests with Rockford in 2014-15.
