Loveland, CO - The Rockford IceHogs bounced back against the Colorado Eagles on Saturday night with 4-0 win at Blue Arena. Drew Commesso recorded a 38-save shutout to move himself into 2nd place all-time with seven IceHogs shutouts.

After Drew Commesso weathered an early Eagles storm, the IceHogs drew first blood at 8:29 of the 1st. Joey Anderson and Aidan Thompson skated in on a two-on-one, then Anderson snapped his shot home from the circle.

In the 2nd period, it was Anderson who returned the favor to Thompson with an assist on another Rockford goal. The Colorado native and Rockford rookie chipped the puck over Isak Posch's shoulder to double the IceHogs' advantage. 

The Hogs continued to build momentum in the final moments of the middle frame, earning a power play which carried over into the 3rd.

While skating four-on-four, Kevin Korchinski entered the zone with speed and dropped the puck for Dominic Toninato at the blue. The veteran forward slashed his way to the circle and found twine to give Rockford a 3-0 lead at 13:11 of the 3rd.

The Eagles pulled their goalie for the extra attacker and Oliver Moore made them pay with his 5th goal of the season.

Up next, Rockford is in action on Tuesday, October 28 with a 11:00 am puck drop at All State Arena to take on the Chicago Wolves. The Hogs are back on home ice on Saturday, November 1 at 7:00 pm for Dia De Los Muertos Night against the Griffins inside the BMO Center.
