Some memorable dates this week in Blackhawks history:
- Rookie Dave Bolland earned his 1st NHL point on an assist against the Stars in Dallas on October 31, 2007. Halloween was also a popular date in other Hawk milestones.
- Chicago registered its 1,750th regular season NHL victory with a 4-3 win over the New York Islanders in 1991.
- In 1987, Denis Savard and Troy Murray tied a team record by scoring 2 shorthanded goals 12 seconds apart at Toronto.
- Also on the trick and treat night in 1979 at the Stadium, Hall of famer Tony Esposito earned the 66th shutout of his Hawk career as he and Buffalo's Bob Suave battled to a scoreless tie in the days before overtime and shootouts.
