Rockford, Ill.- After opening the 2013-14 season with a five game road stretch, the Rockford IceHogs finally come home to the BMO Harris Bank Center this Saturday, Oct. 19 against the Grand Rapids Griffins and the puck drops at 7 p.m.
The first 5,000 fans through the gates will receive an IceHogs calendar courtesy of Stateline Staffing Services.
Tickets can be purchased by calling (815) 968-5222, visiting IceHogs.com, stopping by the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office or any Ticketmaster outlet.
On Saturday, fans will be the first to see the new renovations that have been taking shape over the past couple months at the BMO Harris Bank Center. New and more seats have been added to the arena’s lower level along with new lights.
Outside the seating bowl, concession stand areas have been updated as well. The Blue Flame Lounge at the top of the main staircase will feature drinks in two locations and the Bud Select Deck next to Oink Outfitters will have a social atmosphere with standing tables and a hockey inspired floor.
The food in the BMO has also received a make-over with more items added to the menu boards; there is now a Mexican inspired concession stand called, Chili Rojo Cantina, that features tacos, nachos, churros, margaritas and more. There are premium hot dogs at the Maxwell Street Grill that features a hot chip bar from Rockford’s own, Ole Salty’s. The Oak Leaf Grill behind section 106 is new with new menu items as well. With all the new spots there are a few returning favorites like Barnyard BBQ and Paninos.
All of the concession stands will also feature digital menu boards with items and prices displayed. Also new is the point-of-sale system where you can now pay with a credit card at all locations.
