THE DISTRICT IS THE NEW HOME FOR BUD LIGHT HOG TALK

Weekly talk show starts up on Oct. 15

Rockford, Ill.-The popular weekly Rockford IceHogs talk show “Bud Light Hog Talk” has a new home. The IceHogs announced on Tuesday that “District Bar and Grill” in downtown Rockford is the new location for the show.

Bud Light Hog Talk can be seen live on Monday’s from 6-7 p.m. at District Bar and Grill, located at 205 West State Street, just one block from the BMO Harris Bank Center.

The one-hour show features IceHogs coaches and players, and fans in attendance can sign-up to win prizes courtesy of the IceHogs and District. Bud Light Hog Talk is hosted by Mike Peck and Slavko Bekovic on a rotating basis. The show will be aired on WIFR’s “Weather Now” 23.2 on Tuesdays from 6-7 p.m.

"District Bar and Grill is exited for the opportunity to work with such a successful organization such as the IceHogs,” said Andy Rio, Owner of District Bar and Grill. “We are looking forward to a great season."

Fans can also take advantage of some food and drink specials at District including .60 wings, $2.50, 23oz Bud and Bud Light drafts along with $1 off glasses of wine and $15 bottles of house wines.

The IceHogs and District are also hosting two events for Hogs fans in October. On Friday, Oct. 19, fans can come to District for a viewing party as the IceHogs take on the Peoria Rivermen at 7:05 p.m. The party starts at 6 p.m. and the game will be aired live at District. Fans will have an opportunity to register to win Opening Night tickets for Rockford’s home opener on Saturday, Oct. 20 and more.

Then following the IceHogs game on Thursday, Oct. 25 against the San Antonio Rampage, District is hosting a postgame party with IceHogs players.

Next Home Game: Saturday, Oct. 20 vs. Charlotte Checkers. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The IceHogs open the home portion of their regular season slate against the Checkers at the BMO Harris Bank Center. The first 5,000 fans to the game will pick up an IceHogs “It All Starts Here” calendar.
