Rockford faces Chicago and San Antonio heading into Christmas Break
Week 11 Recap
The Rockford IceHogs picked up their first win over the Texas Stars in five attempts on Saturday, but then couldn’t keep the momentum going against the Houston Aeros on Sunday. The Hogs picked up two points in three games in Week 11 and now turn to face Chicago and San Antonio at home in Week 12 before going on Christmas Break.

Bacon Bits:
-Kyle Greentree’s league-leading nine-game point streak came to an end on Sunday in Houston
-The winger totaled six goals and six assists and was +8 in that stretch
-Goalie Dan Cloutier (1-1-0) picked up his first professional win since Feb. 21, 2008 on Saturday in suburban Austin, Texas
-Defenseman Daryl Boyle matched his rookie point total (2g-13a in 2008-09, 3g-12a in 2009-10) with a goal on Friday
-Friday’s loss to Texas marked the first time that the IceHogs had lost four straight games to a division opponent since joining the American Hockey League
-The Hogs had lost three straight to Quad City and Chicago in 2007-08 and to Milwaukee in 2008-09
-Saturday’s win was the first Rockford victory in five attempts (1-3-1-0) against the Texas Stars this season
-It was also the first road win against the division this season (1-7-1-1)
-The Hogs are 7-1-1-0 on Saturdays and have the same record in the second game of back-to-back games
-Rockford fell to 1-3-0-0 in the third game of a three-day set on Sunday
-The IceHogs have five more three-in-threes this season
Hot Hog Week 11:
Left Wing Kyle Greentree extended his league-leading point streak to nine games on Saturday with an assist after posting a goal and an assist on Friday against Texas. Greentree was +8 with six goals and six assists during the streak (11/25/09-12/12/09), which ended Sunday in Houston.

Friday, Dec. 18 vs. Chicago Wolves: The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Rockford takes on rivals Chicago at the Rockford MetroCentre for the final time in more than three months. The first 2,500 fans will pick up a Christmas Stocking courtesy of the Rockford Park District and WXRX.
Saturday, Dec. 19 vs. San Antonio Rampage: The Hogs and Rampage drop the puck at 7:05 p.m. San Antonio comes to town for their second of four times this season. U.S. Cellular presents The Twilight Saga: New Moon’s Alex Meraz, who will be on hand meeting fans and signing autographs starting at 6 p.m.
