Matchup: The IceHogs (15-10-1-1, 2nd Central) have dropped each of the first two games of the season series with San Antonio, suffering a 6-0 shutout at the BMO Harris Bank Center on Nov. 10 and a 2-1 shootout loss at the AT&T Center on Friday.
Former Rampage forward Andreas Martinsen is the lone IceHogs skater to notch a point through two games against San Antonio. Martinsen scored Rockford’s only goal on Friday and now has four points (3g, 1a) in his last four games since Dec. 8.
Hogs blueliner Carl Dahlstrom notched points in five straight games prior to Friday’s defeat and currently leads the team with 1g-8a-9pts in five games during December. The defenseman boasts a team-high +9 rating over that span this month.
The Rampage (15-10-2-0, 4th Pacific) enter Sunday with points in each of their last four games. Defenseman David Warsofsky continues to excel against the IceHogs during the 2017-18 series, and after posting a multi-point effort in the series opener, potted the game-winning shootout goal on Friday.
In net, Ville Husso (1 GA) and Spencer Martin (0 GA) have combined for 82 saves and only one goal against Rockford.
Next Home Game: The IceHogs welcome back the Chicago Wolves to the BMO Harris Bank Center at 7 p.m. on Dec. 22. The first 1,000 fans ages 21+ through the doors will receive a free IceHogs cooler backpack, courtesy of Bud Light. Tickets can be purchased at IceHogs.com, by calling (815) 968-5222 or in-person at the BMO Harris Bank Center Box Office.
