Fans can pre-purchase tickets to the game

Rockford, Ill.- The American Hockey League’s Rockford IceHogs, the top affiliate of the 2013 Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks, announced on Tuesday that the Stanley Cup will be making a stop in Rockford at the BMO Harris Bank Center.

The Cup will be on display at Rockford’s Sunday, Oct. 27 game against the Texas Stars at 4 p.m. The first 5,000 fans to the game will also receive a commemorative poster, featuring the 10 former IceHogs who were members of last June’s championship team in Chicago.

Doors will open at 3 p.m., but season ticket holders will be allowed into the BMO Harris Bank Center at 2 p.m.

Fans can purchase the Champions ticket package, which includes two upper level tickets to the Oct. 27 game, before individual tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, Sept. 12. The Champions ticket package also includes two ticket vouchers good for any other 2013-14 IceHogs regular season game (excluding the Oct. 27 game) and entry into a drawing to win a pair of tickets to the Blackhawks regular season home opener on Tues., Oct. 1.

The Champions Ticket Package is $50 and additional tickets can be purchased for $15 per ticket. To reserve your Stanley Cup Ticket Package, call (815) 986-6465. The offer is good until Wednesday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m.

The Stanley Cup will be accompanied by the Campbell Bowl, awarded to the National Hockey League’s Western Conference Champions, President’s Trophy, given to the team with the best regular season record, Selleke Trophy, awarded to the NHL’s best defensive forward and Conn Smythe Trophy, given to the Stanley Cup Playoffs Most Valuable Player.

For the second time in four seasons, the Blackhawks claimed the Stanley Cup. During Chicago’s two title runs, 17 different IceHogs alumnus contributed to the titles.
