Chicago Blackhawks General Manager Stan Bowman has released the following statement regarding Don Lever’s departure from the team’s scouting department to join the American Hockey League’s Chicago Wolves as their new Head Coach:

"We'd like to wish Don and the Chicago Wolves the best of luck. We appreciate the time Don spent with us and are happy that he is back in the coaching ranks and is able to do so with a successful organization like the Wolves."

Lever served as a professional scout with the Blackhawks from August until his appointment today with the Wolves.
