SPORTS FAN 1330 AM TO AIR SELECT ICEHOGS GAMES IN 2016-17

Rockford, Ill. – For the first time since the 2011-12 season, Rockford IceHogs fans will be able to catch a select number of games on the radio in 2016-17. The IceHogs announced on Wednesday that every regular season and postseason game, home and road, can once again be viewed on WIFR's Justice Network on 23.3 while Sports Fan 1330 AM has joined the IceHogs broadcast network. A free audio broadcast of each game will be available through 104.9 the X, and once the new Sports Fan website is completed the audio stream will be carried by 1330 AM.

The voice of the IceHogs, Bob Mills, will be on the call with the play-by-play and he will be joined by Illinois Hockey Hall of Famer Tim Matilla as well as Kevin Peters for color commentating at select games. Each broadcast will begin 30 minutes before face-off with IceHogs Warm Up on WIFR’s Justice Network on 23.3. The channel is also available on Comcast Cable in the Rockford market on Comcast Cable channel-434, Charter Cable channel-194 and Mediacom channel-102.

The first game scheduled to be aired on AM 1330 is on Sunday, Oct. 23, when the IceHogs take on the Cleveland Monsters at the BMO Harris Bank Center. Future select games will be aired on AM 1330 and will be announced at a later date. Fans can listen to IceHogs games on their mobile device or tablet, and can listen to every broadcast on 104.3 FM inside the BMO Harris Bank Center.
