Soderlund and McLaughlin Return to IceHogs from Indy Fuel
ROCKFORD, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs, proud American Hockey League affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks of the National Hockey League, announced today that the Blackhawks have re-assigned forward Tim Soderlund to the IceHogs from the Indy Fuel of the ECHL. The IceHogs also announced that forward Dylan McLaughlin has been re-called from his loan to the Fuel.
Since being assigned to the Fuel yesterday, Soderlund and McLaughlin skated in the Fuel’s 1-0 win at Kalamazoo last night with McLaughlin picking up the assist on the lone goal.
Soderlund, 22, skated in seven games with the Fuel, netting two goals and four assists for six points. The Skellefta, Sweden, native dressed in 29 games with the IceHogs this season, adding a goal and two assists for three points including his first North American professional goal on Nov. 30 vs. Grand Rapids.
McLaughlin, 24, appeared in 28 games with the IceHogs this season, recording two goals and five assists for seven points including his first career AHL tally on Jan. 3 at Iowa. In 20 games with the Fuel this year, the Lancaster, New York, product picked up 24 points (13 goals, 11 assists).
