CHICAGO - Home to more than 20 sharks in its award-winning Wild Reef exhibit, Shedd Aquarium knows all about facing off with sharks. But the San Jose Sharks are no match for either their sly predatory namesakes, or the NHL powerhouse Chicago Blackhawks!
Showing off its home team spirit in the upcoming NHL Western Conference Finals against the Sharks, Aquarium trainers donned official Chicago Blackhawks sweaters during their daily dive on Thursday in the Wild Reef. As the sharks circle the water of the Aquarium, Shedd reminds hockey fans that Chicagoans only love the sharks of Shedd.
As one of the “original aquariums,” Shedd Aquarium has been a longtime fan of the Chicago Blackhawks. Last summer, Blackhawks Hall-of-Fame legend Bobby Hull officially opened Shedd’s famous re-imagined Oceanarium. Shedd continues its support for the Blackhawks and their quest for the Stanley Cup.
