SHAW SUSPENDED FOR SATURDAY'S GAME
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League today announced that Rockford IceHogs right wing Andrew Shaw has been suspended for one (1) game as a consequence of a boarding incident during a game at Chicago on Nov. 28.
Shaw will miss Rockford’s game Saturday (Dec. 1) at Charlotte.
In 14 games this season, the Belleville, Ontario native has registered five goals and four assists, along with 38 penalty minutes. Shaw was also suspended for six contests as a consequence of his actions in a game vs. Lake Erie on Nov. 3. Since returning to the IceHogs lineup on Nov. 23, Shaw shows four goals and one assist in four contests.
The second year pro has notched 32 career points (17g-15a) in 52 career tilts with the IceHogs. Shaw also skated in 37 games with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2011-12, recording 12 goals, 11 assists and 50 penalty minutes. The winger scored a goal in his National Hockey League debut against Philadelphia on Jan. 15, 2012.
