Chicago, Ill.- Chicago Blackhawks Prospect Camp is rolling along at Johnny’s Ice House West in Chicago and this summer’s camp gives fans a glimpse of the present and the future of the Rockford IceHogs.
Among the players in camp who have already donned an IceHogs jersey include Kyle Beach, Brandon Bollig, David Gilbert, Joe Palmer, Ben Smith and Ryan Stanton.
IceHogs Head Coach Bill Peters, Assistant Coach Ted Dent and Developmental Goaltending Coach Wade Flaherty are helping conduct the camp.
The on-ice portion of the camp runs from Friday, July 9 to Monday, July 12. Each day consists of two scrimmage sessions and a brief practice.
Other highlights at the camp include Chicago’s top draft pick from last month’s NHL Entry Draft, Kevin Hayes, last year’s number-one pick Dylan Olsen plus several other top prospects hoping for a shot with the Blackhawks in the upcoming years.
All Prospect Camp sessions are free and open to the public. Beginning Tuesday, icehogs.com will have feature stories, video and audio from this summer’s camp with several of the participating skaters.
