Rockford, Ill. – Hammy Hog, the official mascot for the Rockford IceHogs, will be out and about in the Rockford community again over the weekend.
On Saturday, Hammy will be at the YMCA in downtown Rockford for the Great Strides Walk beginning at 11 a.m. Hammy will be hanging out with kids and encouraging all the participants. The IceHogs Zamboni will also be on display in the touch-a-truck event from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. Spectators can check out the Zamboni along with a fire truck, police car, UPS truck and various other vehicles.
Then, to kick off a new week, Hammy will join Mary Morgan Elementary School’s year-end celebration on Monday, May 16. Starting at 9:20 a.m. in the Byron High School football stadium, the Hogs mascot will be taking part in a variety of activities, including a tug-of-war contest against the Byron Tigers mascot.
