The IceHogs to make numerous community appearances

Rockford, Ill. – The Rockford IceHogs are teaming up with Savoy Lounge for the second of two Bar Olympic events, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, March 10. Along with the event at Savoy Lounge, Hammy will be out at a few locations over the weekend, and IceHogs players will show off their bartending skills for charity next Wednesday.

The Bar-lympic games will be held at Savoy Lounge (3929 Broadway Ave.) tomorrow from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Fans can test their skills against five IceHogs players (including Kyle Baun, Vince Hinostroza, Garret Ross, Cameron Schilling, and Viktor Svedberg) in separate games of darts, pool, and shuffleboard.

Preregistration for the Bar Olympics at Savoy Lounge is open from 5-6:15 p.m. The games are free but fans must be 21-and-over to enter the bar. Fans can take advantage of drink specials throughout the night, and food from Brian’s Trade Rite will be available for purchase as well.

Next Wednesday, March 16, fans are invited to come out to the brand new Blue Line Sports Pub, right across the street from the BMO Harris Bank Center, as select IceHogs players are serving as celebrity bartenders. The event is scheduled from 6-7:30 p.m. and is open to fans 21-and-over. All tips earned by the players will be donated to the IceHogs Charitable Foundation.
Hammy will also be busy this weekend, starting on Friday night when he makes the trip down to Indianapolis for Mascot Night at the Indy Fuel game. The IceHogs mascot then returns to Illinois and is set to make an appearance at the RoRo Expo in Roscoe (6164 All World Way, Roscoe, IL 61073) on Saturday. The expo begins at 12 p.m. (noon). Hammy then rounds out the weekend by stopping by the Yellow Jackets Hockey Fun Day, which is scheduled to start at 11 a.m., at Crystal Ice House (320 East Prairie Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014) on Sunday afternoon.

Next Home Game: Tuesday, Mar. 15 vs. Charlotte Checkers. After a weekend series in Charlotte, the two teams battle it out in Rockford. The BMO will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day a little early. Danny’s Gone Rogue will be playing in the Blue Flame Lounge, and those age 21-and-older can take advantage of drink specials and green beer. Fans can also enjoy $2 beers, soda, and companion tickets at the game.
